Cherry jam Strudel / Štrudla sa džemom od višnji 

Here is a recipe for Strudels with cherry jam: 

 – 2 eggs

– 3 dcl of milk

– 1 package of yeast ( 7g) 

– 1 small cup of sugar 

– 1 package of baking powder ( 7g) 

– a pinch of salt

–  30g of butter (melted or room temperature) 

– 400g of all purpose flour 

Half a jar of cherry jam ( about 300-400g) 

Add milk, yeast, sugar and salt into a bowl into a bowl and let it work its magic for 10 min. Then add the eggs and butter, mix everything and slowly add the flour mixed with baking powder until you get a smooth dough. You’ll know its enough flour when it stops to stich to your fingers ( or sticks just a little bit) . Let it rest for a hour. After the resting hour ( or even more if you have time) roll the dough till its about 2 cm thick. Add the cherry jam over the dough ( as shown on photo) and roll the dough into a roll. Let it rest for another 15-20 min . Bake it for 45 min at 180° C .
